Frequently Asked Questions

  1. How do I Chose a product

Simply browse our products on the website and take your time to pick your perfect keepsake. Add the items that you would like to your shopping cart, carefully selecting the required options as you go. If you would like any advice, or would prefer to speak to someone, please contact me at

  1. Is the keepsake jewelry real silver?

Yes, all hand, foot and fingerprint jewelry is made from 99.9% fine silver.  This is the purest silver available and preserves the most amount of detail in the prints.

  1. How can I make the payment?

You can pay with our secure system, which accepts all major credit cards and PayPal payments.

  1. What happens once I place my order?

Once you have placed your order, you will receive a confirmation email. Please check the details carefully, and if there is anything that you are unsure about please contact us as we can easily amend orders at this point for you.

If you have selected a product that uses handprints, footprints or fingerprints, then we will email you again to let you know once we have received them.

I will let you know as soon as your product is ready for shipment, and supply you with tracking details for its delivery.

  1. Will the handmade jewelry be perfect like store bought?

All handmade jewelry & castings are completely handmade and will have some slight imperfections, which add to their charm and uniqueness.  The quality of my work is high, I will put a lot of effort into minimizing the imperfections, but the pieces will have an organic, handmade feel to them.

  1. How do I take a good print?

Try to do it when your child is relaxed.  For tiny babies it can be done when they are asleep or feeding, for older children, explain to them what they need to do before you begin. If you order our no mess print kit instructions are included.

  1. My child’s fingerprint looks like a dimple, is this normal?

Children under a year old often do not have very defined fingerprints.  You will get a dimple in your charm that is an exact replica of your child's fingertip.   For babies under 3 month old I tend to recommend a full hand or footprint instead of a fingerprint.  For newborn babies a footprint is almost always easier to get!

  1. 3D Photo Crystals

What type of photo should I send in?

The closer the shot is to the subject matter, the finer the detail your personalized image within crystal will be. Pictures high in contrast turn out superior. Please do not send dark pictures, or pictures where the foreground and background are the same colour (IE person wearing white sitting in front of a white wall)

What size must my photo be?

Any photo size will work for the laser engraving process. Simply scan the image if it isn't already a digital image, and submit. We will scale it to the size of the crystal. Please try to keep file sizes under 4 megabytes.

Can you edit my photo?

We apply a rectangular crop to your photo to effectively size and remove from the side’s unnecessary space wastage. By submitting a photo to us you authorize our designers to use discretion and crop your photos without providing notification. If you do not want us to crop the photo and would prefer that we leave it as is, please indicate that in the comments field when you submit your order.

Will any photo we provide be accepted?

We will work with any photo, provided it is not a copyright image. If you plan to submit such an image, it must be accompanied by a scanned copy of a waiver by the original photography company authorizing duplication. The legal excerpt from our terms of use is as follows:

What is the difference between 2D & 3D?

2D Crystals are your photo suspended in crystal as you send it. You can see the image from the front and the reverse image from the back. The image will never wear, tear, or fade away and is etched within crystal forever. Costing starts at $20 and goes up based on size. You can fit as many people as are in the photo you provide.

3D Crystals are focused mainly on the face of the subject. We add depth to the facial features to actually create a profile of the face and laser etch the 'head' and partial 'bust' within crystal. We remove all backgrounds as the focus is on the 3D facial impression(s). The final result is a 3D likeness of the individual(s) laser etched in our newest diamond shape crystal. Costing is $100 and allows up to 2 faces within the crystal.

 9.    I can’t see what I want can you make something different?

Absolutely! Each item is hand made and the creative process is endless. Please contact me to discuss your ideas.

10. Cancellation

You may cancel your order at any point before your confirmation email is sent to you that we have begun your order on handmade products.
Up until that point, you may cancel your order by contacting me via email at  If at the point of cancellation no impression kit has been sent out then you will receive a full refund. If you cancel your order after the impression kit has been sent out a charge of $8.00 will be made to cover the costs of the fingerprint kit and postage. Impression and print kits are often posted out within 24 hours.  If you wish to return the unused print kit (at your own expense), a full refund will be given.

Please also take into consideration that jewelry items are made from 99.9% Pure Fine Silver, which is not as hard wearing as Sterling Silver (sterling silver is not pure, it contains metals other than silver to strengthen it). With this in mind I recommend taking as much care with the item as possible and to avoid losing any of the detail. Due to the nature of the piece I am unable to take responsibility for items that are damaged due to eventual wear and tear.  Care instructions will be provided with your jewelry.

It is up to you to check that you are happy with the prints before returning them.   If I have any concerns about the suitability of the print and how it will transfer to silver I will contact you to discuss before going ahead with making the jewelry item.

It will take up to 28 days for me to complete your order on receipt of the print(s), often it will be sooner but I do not offer any guarantees with the standard service.  If you need to guarantee that an item will be dispatched sooner, please select one of the priority options at checkout.  If you need your items for a specific date (e.g. a birthday), please let me know.

UK postage and packaging is included in the price. A service charge applies on priority orders. If you are ordering from outside the UK please contact me for postage charges.

I cannot accept returns on items unless they are damaged or faulty on delivery. As all items are handmade and personalized I cannot accept returns on any other basis. If
